Code of Conduct for Smile PARADISE Dance Festival 2023

We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone involved in Smile PARADISE Dance Festival 2023 — be it instructors, DJs, attendees, volunteers, or any other participants. We expect all individuals to uphold the values of this Code of Conduct during their participation in any event-related activities.
Mutual Respect: Every participant, regardless of their role, background, gender, age, experience, ability, race, nationality, or any other distinguishing characteristic, deserves respect. Disparaging comments, intimidating behaviors, or any form of bullying will not be tolerated.
No Harassment: Harassment in any form, be it verbal, physical, or otherwise, is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, unwanted advances, comments, touching, stalking, and taking unsolicited photographs or recordings. We especially emphasize the importance of preventing and reporting instances of sexual harassment.
Consent is Essential: Dancing is an intimate and expressive form. Before initiating close contact or executing any move that may be intimate, always ask for and receive explicit consent from your partner. Avoid making assumptions based on your partner's or your own skill level or familiarity.
Inclusivity: We strive for an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. Discrimination or prejudice based on any distinguishing characteristics will not be tolerated.
Freedom of Expression: Everyone should feel free to express themselves without fear of judgment or discrimination. However, self-expression should never impede the safety or comfort of others.
Feedback: We value and welcome constructive feedback. If a participant is making you feel uncomfortable, it's okay to communicate your feelings calmly and clearly. We encourage open dialogue to promote understanding and growth.
Reporting: If you experience or witness any behavior that goes against this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to event organizers or designated personnel. Your concerns will be treated with confidentiality and addressed promptly.
Consequences: Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in a warning, being asked to leave the event without a refund, or, in extreme cases, a ban from future events.
